Receptionists / Administrators
All our receptionists have been trained by the doctors and are very experienced. They have a lot of information at their fingertips and they are able to answer many of your queries. Should you request an urgent appointment, the receptionists may want to know some medical details so the doctor can prioritise the problem. Anything you tell them will be treated in absolute confidence and all our practice staff, as part of their contract of employment, sign a code of confidentiality to safeguard patients’ personal information.
Dianne Rothwell, one of our receptionists, has undergone special training and is a qualified phlebotomist and a member of the Association of Phlebotomists:
Dianne holds phlebotomy clinics regularly on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.
These early clinics are especially useful for patients who have to fast before a blood test. The phebotomy clinics are by appointment.
Our phlebotomist also undertakes heart MOT’s for patients over the age of 50 and new patient registration medicals.
The district nurses and their team provide skilled nursing care at home for people of all ages. They work closely with GPs and other healthcare professionals, enabling them to provide care for patients and their families. The doctors may arrange for district nurses to visit you at home.
A Health Visitor attends Child Monitoring Meetings here at the surgery every Month. The surgery works closely with the Health Visitor to ensure continuity of care.
